I’m Thankful To Be A Mom
I’m thankful for this girl.
I’m thankful I was told I might not be able to get pregnant, carry, and deliver a baby. It made my appreciation for these blessings so much greater.
I’m thankful for modern technology and medicine so that the doctors could keep such a close eye on her during my pregnancy.
I’m thankful for the depression that came after having a baby. It has helped me redefine myself, learn the importance of self-care, and be more understanding to others.
I’m thankful for the sleepless nights. Like many things about motherhood, it helped me learn to be a little more selfless.
I’m thankful for the dirty diapers, the messy high chair, the demands for independence because it means she is growing exactly the way she should be.
I’m thankful for her smiles and giggles that warm my heart.
I’m thankful for every moment I get to snuggle her. As she grows and becomes more busy and on-the-move, I become more and more thankful for those never-long-enough snuggles.
I’m thankful for the adorable dances she does anytime she hears a song play. It reminds me to appreciate the gift of music.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to watch her learn and figure the world out. I love the opportunity to notice the little things in life again like a simple leaf, a blade of grass, or a bird’s song.
I’m thankful for the chance to stay home with her and to teach, to play, and to simply be with her.
I’m thankful that God hand-picked my daughter to be the one to come into my life.
I’m thankful to be a mom.
Why are you thankful to be a mom?
